Numerical Simulation of Pre-Reduction for a New Process of Acid Production from Phosphogypsum by Gas Sulfur Reduction

The gas sulfur reduction of phosphogypsum in the acid co-production sulfoaluminate cement clinker is a new process for treating phosphogypsum. furnace this system was studied and analyzed by combining computational fluid dynamics (CFD) experimental validation. effects n(CaSO4)/n(S2), particle residence time, kiln tail flue temperature on performance were obtained. A second-order response model based surface methodology developed using three-factor Box–Behnken design (BBD). results show that comparison error between simulation test data acceptable. above three conditions arranged order significance terms their effect n(CaSO4)/n(S2) > time temperature. Finally, optimizing model, predicted optimal operation parameter combination = 3.04, with at end given as 8.90 s 1265.39 K, respectively.
